Over time, the members of Clarenville Area Co-op have developed and molded a co-operative business structure that best meets the needs of the community. Through the co-operative efforts, over 13,000 member-families enjoy the advantages of being a member.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"color: red;\">Advantages of Becoming a Member<\/h5>\n<ul class=\"list-1\">\n<li>Provides helpful and friendly management &amp; staff.<\/li>\n<li>Offers competitive prices.<\/li>\n<li>Offers a great variety of quality merchandise and groceries.<\/li>\n<li>Gives a sense of pride in being part owner of such a successful business.<\/li>\n<li>Provides scholarships to our local schools.<\/li>\n<li>Provides leadership skills to the many residents who serve as directors.<\/li>\n<li>Provides a multi-million dollar store that is community owned and controlled.<\/li>\n<li>Supports community events and initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Provides employment to over 60 local residents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"color: red;\">How to become a Member<\/h5>\n<p>To become a member of the Clarenville Area Co-op you must purchase a membership, the cost of this is a one time $10 fee.<\/p>\n<p>Becoming a Co-op members grants you access to many benefits including exclusive member sales and entry into our lotto 50\/50 draw. Each time you shop at the Co-op your purchases are recorded under your assigned Co-op number. At year end, a rebate is given to the members, based off a percentage voted on each year at our Annual General Meeting.
